On November 5, 2012, the Einstein’s Global Health Center (GHC) hosted a national conference that brought together administrators and faculty running prominent U.S. academic global health centers (GHC) to share their hard-won wisdom with colleagues at other institutions interested in organizing programs of their own. MCW Global Health Program Manager, Tifany Frazer served on the steering committee.

International Photo Competition
The Medical College of Wisconsin’s Global Health Program is kicking off with a bang! As part of its week-long launch across the MCW campus, the Global Health Organization is hosting an international photo competition to display the work of our talented medical community. We are seeking your photos from health-related trips abroad. These photos will be exhibited all week in the lobby outside the MCW cafeteria from November 28 – December 2. The public will vote for 3 talented winners who will be awarded a prize!

Father Alex Busuttil, executive director of Alto Cayma Mission from southern Peru is visiting the Milwaukee area. On the outskirts of Arequipa, Peru is a community driven to improve its health. The Alto Cayma mission provides consistent and culturally sensitive health care delivery which includes a primary care clinic with dental and eye care, a day care center for children, a mobile meals program, vocational programs, a community center with training classrooms and a computer lab.
This mission in Alto Cayma has had a significant amount of support from entities from Wisconsin Rotarians, Mt. Mary College and the Columbia College of Nursing and the Affinity Health Care System Foundation of the Fox Valley.
Participants who attend this lecture will:
