Degree-Seeking Applicants

Master of Science and Master of Arts Degree programs require a minimum of 30 credits, within a maximum of four years for degree completion. Master of Public Health Degree Program requires a minimum of 42 credits within a maximum of five years for degree completion. Doctor of Philosophy Degree programs require a minimum of 60 credits, and an original contribution of research, within a maximum of seven years for degree completion.

Degree Seekers must have on file the following before they can be considered for admission:

  • A completed Degree-Seeking Application
     
  • Official transcripts of all previously attended undergraduate or higher academic institutions must be sent directly to the Registrar of the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences
     
  • Official results of the Graduate Record Exam (or MCAT, LSAT or GMAT results)
    *MPH and Public & Community Health applicants must submit official GRE scores.
     
  • The required three letters of recommendation, along with three recommendation forms
     
  • Application fee $50.00.


Completed applications are considered on a rolling basis; however for fall admission to basic science programs, applications received prior to January 15 are given priority consideration.

Completed files are reviewed by an admissions committee of the program applied to. The committee will forward its recommendation to the Dean of the Graduate School for final review and decision. The applicant will be notified in writing of the Dean’s action. Only the Dean of the Graduate School may make offers of admission. All acceptances are conditional upon successful completion of current course work.
