Mark A. Beilke, MD

Clinical Interests:  HIV/AIDS
Research Interests:  HIV and HTLV Co-Infection

Dr. Beilke received his B.A. at Augustana College graduating Magna Cum Laude.  He received his M.D. from the University of Illinois.  His Residency in Internal Medicine was done at the University of Illinois Hospitals and Clinics, and his Fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin.  He was a Medical Staff Fellow at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke at the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, MD.
 

John Bellizzi, MD
Assistant Professor

Clinical Interests:  HIV Immunology

Dr. Bellizzi received his B. S. from Georgetown University in Washington, DC.  He received his M.D. at University of Virginia Medical School, Charlottesville, VA.  His Internship was done at Washington Hospital Center and his Residency was at Roosevelt Hospital in New York, NY.  He did his Fellowship in Infectious Diseases at the University of Massachusetts Medical School.
 

Jenifer Coburn, PhD
Professor

Research Interests:  Pathogenic Mechanisms of Spirochetes

Dr. Coburn received her B.A. and M.A. from Boston University in Boston, MA.  She did her Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and Microbiology at Tufts University Sackler School of Graduate Biomedical Sciences in Boston, MA.
 

John J. W. Fangman, MD
Associate Professor

Clinical Interests:  HIV/AIDS (at ARCW)
Research Interests:  Quality Improvement in HIV

Dr. Fangman received his B.A. in Political Science at Carlton College in Minnesota.  He received his M.D. from the University of Minnesota.  At Harvard in Boston, he did a combined Internal Medicine and Pediatric Program.  He did his Fellowship in Infectious Diseases at Massachusetts General Hospital Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston, MA.
 

Michael O. Frank, MD

Clinical Interests:  HIV/AIDS, Infections in Immunocompromised Host
Research Interests:  HIV Clinical Trials, Medical Education

Dr. Frank received his B.S. from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, WI.  He received his M.D. also from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, WI.  His Internship and Residency were done at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, VA, and his Fellowship was also done at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, VA.
 

Mary Beth Graham, MD
Associate Professor, Associate Chief of Clinical Affairs, Infectious Diseases, and Fellowship Program Director

Clinical Interests:  Infections in Immunocompromised host (HIV, transplant), Orthopedic Infections, HIV/AIDS, Nosocomial Infections
Research Interests:  Infection Control and Prevention of Transmission of Nosocomial Pathogens, Medical Education, HIV Clinical Trials

Dr. Graham received her B.A. from Wesleyan University in Bloomington, IL.  She received her M.D. from Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, IL.  Her Residency in the Department of Medicine from the University of Washington; Research Associate from Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle, WA; and Clinical/Research Fellow in the Department of Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases, and Department of Pathology from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO.
 

Michael Kron, MD
Professor, Director - Program in International Health

Clinical Interests- Imported Infectious Diseases and Tropical Medicine/Parasitology
Research Interests:   Structure and Function of Parasite Aminoacyl tRNA synthetases

Dr. Kron received his B.S. in Preprofessional studies at the University of Notre Dame graduating Cum Laude.  He received his M.D. from Northwestern University School of Medicine in Chicago, IL.  He received his M.S. in Clinical Tropical Medicine at the University of London in London, England.  He did his Internship and Residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Department of Medicine, in Chicago, IL.  He was a Clinical and Research Fellow in the Division of Infectious Diseases and Geographic Medicine at University Hospitals, Case Western Reserve University, and Wade Park VA Hospital in Cleveland, OH.
 

Iram Nadeem, MD

Clinical Interests:  HIV/AIDS, General Infectious Diseases, Infections in the Immunocompromised Host

Research Interests -  HIV, Hepatitis B and C

Dr. Nadeem did her Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at Wright State University, Miami Valley Hospital, in Dayton, OH.  She also did Residency in Internal Medicine at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL.  She did her Fellowship in Infectious Diseases at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, IL.
 

Andrew E. Petroll, MD, MS

Clinical Interests:  HIV/AIDS, Sexually Transmitted Infections
Research Interests:  Behavioral HIV Prevention Studies, HIV Clinical Trials

Dr. Petroll received his B.S. in Molecular Biology from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, WI.  He received his M.D. from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine, Madison, WI.  His M.S. in Epidemiology was from the Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, WI.  He did his Residency in Internal Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
 

Peter G. Sohnle, MD

Clinical Interests:  Fungal and Bacterial Infections, Endocarditis
Research Interests:  Cutaneous Infections

Dr. Sohnle received his B.A. from Rutgers University; his M.D. from Cornell University Medical College; and his M.S. from Cornell University Graduate School.  He interned in Medicine at the University of Virginia Hospital where he also did his Residency.  He was a Clinical Associate at the National Institutes of Health.

Dr. Wagner received his B.S. from the University of Illinois, Urbana, IL.  He received his M.D. from the University of Illinois, Chicago & Rockford, IL.  He did his residency in Internal Medicine at Evanston Hospital in Evanston, IL, and his Fellowship in Infectious Diseases at the Medical College of Wisconsin.  He was a Medical Staff Fellow at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, MD.
