How secure is your password?

The key to computer security is a strong and confidential password.

The strongest passwords have a combination of:

  • upper and lower case letters,
  • non-consecutive numbers, and
  • symbols.

Several reputable organizations offer password strength tools to help you maintain your accounts securely.  Please visit these sites to see how secure your password is.

You can have the strongest password imaginable, but it is worthless once you share it with anyone

  • Never share your password. MCW Information Systems Access Policy (IT.IS.010) prohibits you from sharing MCW passwords with anyone.
  • MCW-IS administrators can unlock your account if you are unable to access it.
  • Never respond to an email asking for your password or other confidential information.

If you have any question about the legitimacy of an email,
contact MCW-IS at (414) 955-4357 before responding.

MCW-IS will NEVER ask for your password!
