Board of Trustees Biographies:
Gregory M. Wesley
Gregory M. Wesley, Partner and Co-Chair of the Employment Group, focuses his practice on labor and employment, government relations, and Indian law. His experience includes litigation of cases to successful conclusion as lead counsel in matters related to insurance defense and employment discrimination. Mr. Wesley conducts training presentations for employers regarding harassment in the workplace and provides training for managers and supervisors concerning compliance with state and federal employment laws. His experience also includes the representation of corporate entities on government relations and public affairs issues.
Mr. Wesley is a former honorary Milwaukee County Court Commissioner and past president of the Wisconsin Association of African-American Lawyers. Mr. Wesley is currently serving a three-year term on the Board of Directors for the United Way of Greater Milwaukee. He is the former chair of the Milwaukee Urban League; and is a member of the board of directors of the Medical College of Wisconsin; Milwaukee World Festivals, Inc. (Summerfest); the Southeastern Milwaukee Professional Baseball District (Miller Park); the Zoological Society of Milwaukee; and the YMCA of Metropolitan Milwaukee. Mr. Wesley is an active member of the Greater Milwaukee Committee and the National Bar Association and a trustee of the Faye McBeath Foundation.
He was elected as a 2010 Fellow in the Litigation Counsel of America (LCA), Trial Honorary Society. Mr. Wesley has regularly been recognized for his leadership in the business and legal community to include The Milwaukee Business Journal “Power Book List” (2010); The Milwaukee Business Journal “Forty under 40 List” (2007); and Milwaukee Magazine’s “Under 35 Future Young Leaders List” (2002). He has also been cited as a “Rising Star” by Wisconsin Super Lawyers (2006, 2007).
Mr. Wesley earned his JD from the University of Wisconsin Law School and received a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University-Bloomington. Mr. Wesley is admitted to practice in Wisconsin and the US District Court of the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin and the Southern District of Indiana.
