Board of Trustees Biographies:
Joseph E. Geenen, MD
Dr. Joseph E. Geenen serves as Clinical Professor of Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin and, from 1966-1992, as Professor/Physician in the Department of Gastroenterology. He is the past president of GI Associates, LLC, a group of private-practice gastroenterologists. Additionally, Dr. Geenen currently serves as Director of Pancreatic Biliary Services at St. Luke’s Medical Center as well as Director of the Fourth Tier Therapeutic ERCP and EUS Program in Pancreatic Biliary Diseases. Dr. Geenen is presently active in private practice and undertaking multiple research projects in Pancreatic Biliary disease.
His undergraduate work and medical school occurred at Marquette University and Marquette Medical School. He interned at the University of Minnesota and completed his residency and fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He was honored as the “Alumnus of the Year” from MCW in May 2000.
