The Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW), Milwaukee Adolescent Health Program (MAHP) is pleased to announce a funding opportunity for three Wisconsin communities:  Beloit, Milwaukee, and Racine. These cities have the highest teen birth rate among minority youth in the state.  MCW has been contracted by the State of Wisconsin, Division of Public Health to serve as the lead agency to execute the five years, federal Personal Responsibility Education Program (PREP) Grant.  Funding is designed to educate adolescents on both abstinence and contraception for the prevention of pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections, including HIV/AIDS.  Applications are being solicited through an open, competitive process, from Community Based Organizations (CBOs) that are interested in receiving funding to partner with Wisconsin PREP to offer high quality, innovative teen pregnancy prevention services focusing on African American and Latino youth.  For more information, contact Nancy Hahn, PREP Coordinator at nhahn@mcw.edu  or at 414.277-8905.
