Milwaukee County Juvenile Detention Center

The Milwaukee Adolescent Health Program is responsible for the health care of all detained youth at Wisconsin's busiest detention center.  Nearly 6,000 youth are admitted to detention each year.  Each youth receives a screening physical exam, and acute medical complaints are also evaluated and treated. Over half the adolescents seen in detention have no health care provider. Upon discharge they are referred to MAHP clinics such as the Adolescent Clinic for ongoing medical care.
