MCW physicians celebrate patient’s nuptials

Sept. 02 - A rare malignant brain tumor didn’t get in the way of a local couple’s wedding plans… and their care team celebrated with them. That team includes Jennifer Connelly, assistant professor of neuro-oncology; Malika Siker, MD, assistant professor of radiation oncology; and Wade Mueller, MD, professor of neurosurgery. Stem cell patent to benefit MCW research

Aug. 29 - Cellular Dynamics International Inc., a Madison-based biotechnology company, was granted a patent for its stem cell production automation process. Ulrich Broeckel, MD, professor of pediatrics (genetics) and an investigator at the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin Research Institute, discussed the importance of this patent and how it will help research at MCW. Need for more geriatricians in medicine
