MCW Libraries' South Display Case Celebrates Black History Month
February is nationally recognized as Black History Month. In celebration of this important event, the south display case outside of the Todd Wehr Library (near the elevators) is being used to promote some of the resources the MCW Libraries have on Black/African American health as well as Black/African Americans in medicine. The resources we feature tie in with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Office of Minority Health theme of "Celebrate Black History Month in Good Health," which they are promoting in 2013 along with the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington lead by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and the 150th anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation.
The books in the display cases are available to check out. Please contact the MCW Libraries at (414) 955-8302 or firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
