The Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association and the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME). The MPH program is also individually accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH).
The Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) is an independent agency which accredits schools of public health and public health programs offered in settings other than schools of public health.
In July 2007, MCW's academic programs leading to the MD, PhD, MS, MA and MPH degrees were awarded the maximum 10-year reaccreditation by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. This accreditation is through 2016-2017.
At its June 17-19, 2010 meeting, the CEPH Board of Councilors accredited the MPH program for the maximum term - seven years. The MPH program's accreditation has, therefore, been extended to July 1, 2017.
Self Study
As part of the reaccreditation process, the MPH program underwent a comprehensive process of self-analysis. The result is the self study document, which describes the program’s attainment of each criterion set forth by CEPH. This document can be viewed and downloaded by clicking the link below.
