Peter Layde is a Professor in the Department of Population Health and Co-Director of the CDC-funded Injury Research Center at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Layde has over 25 years of experience conducting epidemiological research, primarily in the area of injury control. His current research focuses on studying approaches to disseminating evidence-based public health interventions into practice through community-based coalitions. Prior to coming to MCW, Dr. Layde was Director of the Division of Chronic Disease Control at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta and Chair of the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the Marshfield Clinic. Dr. Layde is also Co-Director of the Healthy Wisconsin Leadership Institute, which conducts health policy training for public health professionals throughout the state of Wisconsin.
