The Master Public Health Degree Program is a distance-education graduate program designed to meet the needs of working health-care professionals or those with a bachelor’s degree who are interested in public health. Applications are received and reviewed all year long. For questions involving your application status, please contact the Graduate School. Current tuition is $630 per credit hour. Courses are offered through a distance-web-based mechanism and can be taken on a full-time or part-time basis. Currently, the Master of Public Health (MPH) Degree Program offers both degree and non-degree graduate educational opportunities.

Master of Public Health (MPH) Degree Program

  1. Degree Seeking Application Form  - Apply using our new online application and payment system. 
  2. Provide official transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate studies. Official transcripts are sent directly from the institution(s) to the Graduate School Office.  
  3. Provide test scores from the Graduate Record Examination (GRE).  You are not required to take the subject test, however, you must have the results sent directly from Educational Testing Services (ETS).  Exams more than 5 years old will not be considered by the admission committees and, result in a request from the graduate school office for more up-to-date test results.  Forward the scores to the Graduate School using 1519 as the Institution Code and 99 as the Department Code.  Applicants that already have a PhD, MD or JD you are not required to submit GRE test scores.  Contact Graduate Record Examination For more information on examinations.
  4. Arrange for three (3) Admission Recommendation forms and letters (obtained online or by request through the Graduate School) to be completed and sent directly to the Graduate School Office.
  5. Provide evidence of competence in English—including official TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) examination scores (all international students).  Official scores are sent directly from ETS to the Graduate School Office.  Forward the scores to the Graduate School using 1519 as the Institution Code and 99 as the Department Code (general).  Minimal TOEFL score; 580 paper-based and 273 computer-based.  Contact TOEFL for more information on examinations.
  6. Complete a personal statement.
     

Master of Public Health (MPH) Non-Degree Program

Complete a Non-Degree Seeking Application Form - Apply using our new online application and online payment system.  Provide official Transcripts for an earned baccalaureate degree.  Official transcripts are sent directly from the institution(s) to the Graduate School Office.

Non-degree seeking admission is available for those who wish to pursue continued professional development. Non-Degree Admission affords a student to enroll in classes for three consecutive terms, i.e. one school year, on a part time basis, with a maximum credit accumulation of 15 credits.  Note some coursework taken as a non-degree student may be applied to a degree program, but not in all situations.
