Christopher Bredeson, MD, MSc, FRCPC

Director, Hematologic Malignancies

Professor of Medicine

Dr. Bredeson is Professor of Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Division of Neoplastic Diseases and Related Disorders. He specializes in Hematologic Malignancies particularly leukemia & bone marrow failure states and hematopoietic cell transplantation.  He graduated from the University of Ottawa in 1987 and also received from there his Master of Science in Epidemiology in 1997. He completed an Internal Medicine residency at the University of Ottawa and a Hematology residency at the University of British Columbia. He then went on to complete a Leukemia and Bone Marrow Transplantation fellowship at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver. Dr. Bredeson is board certified in Hematology and Internal Medicine.

Dr Bredeson is an active member of the American Society of Hematology, the American Society of Blood and Marrow Transplantation, the Blood and Marrow Transplant Clinical Trials Network and the National Institutes of Health, teaching clinical research methods, serving on committees, and participating in review panels for these organizations.

His research interests center around observational studies and prospective clinical trials in leukemia, myelodysplastic syndromes and hematopoietic cell transplantation.
