Dr. James C. Wade is the Mariette C. and Philip W. Orth/Tom Anderson Professor of Oncology and Chief of the Division of Neoplastic Diseases and Related Disorders in the Department of Medicine and Professor of Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.
Dr. Wade received his medical degree from the University of Utah College of Medicine in Salt Lake City, Utah and his Masters in Public Health (MPH) from Johns Hopkins School of Public Health and Hygiene in Baltimore, Maryland.
He is board certified in medical oncology, hematology, infectious diseases, and internal medicine, and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.
He is recognized nationally and internationally as a cancer physician and a clinical researcher and has published more than 175 original articles, book chapters, and invited editorials.
He joined the Medical College of Wisconsin in 2002 and as has focused on blood and marrow transplantation, diagnosis and management of immunocompromised host infections, hematological malignancies, with an emphasis in the delivery of high-quality, patient and family focused multidisciplinary clinical care and the critical transition between research and clinical cancer care.
