Nicholas W. Choong, MD

Assistant Professor of Medicine

Dr. Choong joined the faculty at the Medical College of Wisconsin in July 2007. After completing medical school at McGill University, Montreal, Canada, he went on to train in Internal Medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Subsequently, he completed his Hematology-Medical Oncology fellowship at the University of Chicago Medical Center in Chicago, IL.

Dr. Choong’s practice is focused on head, neck and thoracic malignancies. Apart from spearheading the development of the Pulmonary Lung Cancer Collaborative Clinic, which focuses on the multidisciplinary management of patients with lung cancer, he is active in conducting clinical trials in head, neck and thoracic malignancies, and has published numerous peer-reviewed scientific articles, abstracts and book chapters. Apart from being Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology, he has received several awards including the National Lung Cancer Partnership Award and the American Society of Clinical Oncologist Foundation Merit Award.
