Assistant Professor of Medicine

Dr. Fenske attended medical school at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he also completed an M.S. degree in cellular and molecular biology. After completing a residency in internal medicine at UW-Madison, he then completed a fellowship in hematology and oncology at Washington University (Barnes Hospital) in St. Louis, where he was awarded a position on the National Institutes of Health Hematology Training Grant. He joined the faculty of the Medical College of Wisconsin in 2005 and is board-certified in internal medicine and medical oncology. A native of the Milwaukee area, he received his B.S. degree in biology, summa cum laude, from Marquette University, where he won election to the Phi Beta Kappa National Honor society. He has published nine peer-reviewed research articles, two invited reviews, a book chapter, and has presented at national meetings on several occasions. He is currently the principal investigator on several different clinical trials which are actively enrolling patients.
