Treatment at SpineCare is tailored to meet your individual needs. The initial evaluation is done by a team of professionals including a physical medicine expert (physiatrist), a chiropractic physician and physical therapist. As part of our successful approach, we rely on clinical pathways- a specific timeline and sequence of transdisciplinary interventions- to help achieve the best possible outcomes.
Our treatment timelines are based on the need for education and behavioral changes to achieve long-term success. While it may be possible to squeeze all necessary appointments into a few weeks, we know that approach doesn’t work in the end. We give our patients the time to develop an exercise program they can stick with and to fully incorporate proper body mechanics into everything they do.
Our focus is self-management and independence in managing the current episode as well as future episodes of back and neck pain. It’s important to note that a majority of our patients continue with their daily activities to some extent while they are undergoing treatment with SpineCare.
The bottom line is that our approach works. Here are some important facts:
We want to help you return to your routine activities as soon and as safely as possible, all while promoting function and helping prevent long-term disability. Getting help quickly for back and neck problems and learning proper self-help techniques are just two of the ways we work to prevent these problems from becoming chronic. Over the course of treatment, we continue to help our patients make the changes necessary to go about their daily lives safely and effectively.
