What is eBridge?
eBridge is the mechanism investigators use for submitting and processing grant applications, human research protocols, Animal Use Applications (AUAs), and Institutional Biosafety Committee protocols.
A web-based software application, eBridge is used by the research community of the Medical College of Wisconsin/Froedtert Hospital and several of its research affiliate institutions to electronically route research projects and funding submissions for institutional approvals, while tracking the status of each research application. eBridge integrates research functions in one central place and is publicly accessible through login authentication and with a supported browser.
Currently, eBridge supports the following modules: Animal Use Applications (AUAs), Human Research protocols (PROs), grants & contracts applications (Funding Proposals), and Institutional Biosafety Committee submissions. For further detail, visit the Research Systems Training web page About eBridge.
How do I get an eBridge account?
If you will be conducting research at Medical College of Wisconsin/Froedtert Hospital (MCW/FH), Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin (CHW), and/or Veteran’s Administration (VA), you will need to self-register in eBridge. We highly recommend that you set up an eBridge account before you need to begin your research.
Type into the address bar of your computer’s browser: http://ebridge.mcw.edu or select the eBridge link from MCW’s intranet site InfoScope.
Select the “Registration” link at the upper right of the screen:
Complete all required fields, indicated by a red asterisk, with your MCW employee information.
Select “Register” to submit the form to the eBridge Help Desk.
Following your registration, it takes up to 24 hours for your account to be activated.
The eBridge Help Desk will email you your User ID, and information on how to log in from both the MCW network and from outside the MCW network. Your eBridge password is the same as your MCW network password.
If you forget your MCW network password, call the Help Desk at 414-955-8476. Help Desk assistance with passwords must be conducted by phone and not by email.
