HPI: 65 y/o retired male engineer presents with severe left eye pain, tearing, photophobia and blurry vision since being kicked in the eye by his grandson 2 hours ago. He also reports foreign-body sensation in his left eye. He denies any flashing lights or floaters or mucous discharge from the eye.

POcHx: Cataract surgery OU 3 years ago

Ocular Medications: None

PMH: Hypertension

Medications: Hydrochlorothiazide

Allergies: None

FHx: Negative for blinding diseases

SHx: He denies alcohol, tobacco, or illicit drug use. He lives with his wife. He has 3 children, and one grandson

ROS: Otherwise negative
