Dr. Roberts joined the Orthopaedic Surgery Department in 2008 as an Assistant Professor specializing in Orthopaedic Trauma Surgery. He was chosen as the Outstanding Faculty Instructor by orthopaedic surgery residents for 2009-2010.
Dr. Roberts graduated Magna Cum Laude from Grand Valley State University in 1998 and was chosen as the outstanding graduate in his major. He graduated from Wayne State University School of Medicine in 2002 with High Distinction. He was inducted to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and received the Elvis Smith Alford, MD and Nellie Corbin Alford Award for outstanding academic achievement in medical school. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin in 2007 where he was chosen as the Chief Resident for 2006-2007 and received the Leonard Marmor Surgical Arthritis Foundation Award. He completed an orthopaedic traumatology fellowship at the University of California-Davis (PDF) in 2008.
Dr. Roberts serves as an AO North America faculty member and sits on the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Trauma Evaluation Subcommittee. He is a member of the Orthopaedic Trauma Association, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Wisconsin Orthopaedic Society, and Milwaukee Orthopaedic Society, for which he serves as President. Dr. Roberts is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon and member of the surgical staff at Froedtert Hospital and Children's Hospital of Wisconsin, and part of the Orthopaedic Trauma Service team. His clinical interests include pelvic and acetabular fractures, complex extremity fractures, nonunions, and the care of polytraumatized patients.
