The Medical College of Wisconsin, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, invites applications for a one-year fellowship in spinal surgery.
The fellowship offers exposure to a wide variety of cases including cervical, thoracic, and lumbar disease, spine deformity, trauma, anterior and posterior procedures, and varied instrumentation techniques. Spine conferences, research meetings and journal clubs are part of the educational experience.
The Fellow is encourage to participate in clinical and basic science research projects. Research facilities include orthopaedic biomechanics, motion analysis/gait, biomaterials, microsurgery, and anatomy. A comprehensive animal operating and housing facility are also available.

Professional liability insurance
|
The MCW Professional Risk Management Department coordinates the professional liability self-insurance program and assures liability coverage with the Wisconsin Injured Patients and Families Compensation Fund in excess of the primary annual limits of $1,000,000 per incident and $3,000,000 in the aggregate. Full-time faculty, full professional effort faculty, staff physicians, full-time allied staff and part-time allied staff if MCW is their sole employer are covered under the professional liability program for activities within the scope of duties for the Medical College of Wisconsin. All part-time physicians and part-time allied staff with additional outside employment are not covered by the self-insurance plan. |
