   The Orthopaedic Trauma Service provides urgent care for adult and pediatric orthopaedic trauma patients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, in the Level I Trauma Center at Froedtert Hospital, the only Level I Trauma Center in Eastern Wisconsin, and at Children's Hospital Of Wisconsin's Trauma Center.


A Trauma Center is classified as “Level I” when it provides the highest level of specialty expertise and meets strict national standards. Specialized teams, facilities and equipment are available around the clock to treat
life-threatening injuries.

The OTS providers are members of the Orthopaedic Trauma Association (OTA.) They are highly skilled in treating complex traumatic fracture injuries, providing follow up care for:

  Articular Fractures

  Calcaneal Fractures

Juxta-articular Fractures

Pelvic / Acetabular Fractures

Post-Traumatic Osteomyelitis
