Sandra Muchka joined the Palliative Care Center at the Medical College of Wisconsin as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in March of 1997. The responsibilities of this role include nursing assessment of patients referred to the Palliative Care Consultation Service, co-facilitator of the nurse preceptorship program for Palliative Care, and coordinating/facilitating the annual review course for the Hospice and Palliative Nurse exam. She is also the nursing coordinator for the Center to Advance Palliative Care (CAPC) Palliative Care Learning Center at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Her background includes 25 years experience as an oncology nurse in the acute care and ambulatory settings, and in home hospice nursing., She is a member of the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association (HPNA).
Ruth joined the Palliative Care Center at the Medical College of Wisconsin in June 2005. Her responsibilities include advanced practice nursing assessment and management of patients referred to the Palliative Care Consult Service and nursing and physician education regarding palliative care issues. Ruth's background includes over 16 years experience in a variety of patient care settings including general medicine, cardiology, urology, and hospice care. Her advanced practice nursing focus is as a Clinical Specialist in Adult Health. Ruth is a member of the American Nurses Association (ANA), Wisconsin Nurses Association (WNA) and the Hospice and Palliative Care Nurses Association (HPNA).
Margaret Donegan is a nurse practitioner with post masters' certification in gerontology and hospice and palliative nursing. She provides evidenced-based physical, psychosocial and emotional care to patients in the hospital and outpatient settings. Patients are assessed for symptom needs and support while making treatment decisions. Margaret is also an instructor for palliative care course work offered to staff nurses at Froedtert Hospital. She has over 30 years of acute and community health care experience. Margaret is a member of the National Conference of Gerontological Nurse Practitioners (NCGNP), Milwaukee Metro Nurse Practitioners (MMNP) and the Hospice and Palliative Nursing Association (HPNA).
Tiffany Marbach joined the Palliative Care Center as a Clinical Nurse Specialist at the Medical College of Wisconsin in November 2010. As a member of the palliative care team, she collaborates with other team members to provide compassionate care to patients. She provides advanced nursing care to meet the many needs of her patients and their families, especially focusing on their physical, emotional, social, and spiritual concerns. Tiffany's background includes five years of oncology nursing experience in a variety of settings including pediatric oncology, pediatric inpatient and outpatient bone marrow transplant, and adult outpatient oncology. Tiffany is an active member of the Wisconsin Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists (WIACNS), the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS), and the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association (HPNA).
