Dr. Lorek received her medical degree from University of Texas Southwestern in 2000 and completed a residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the Medical College of Wisconsin in 2005. She is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and has been a faculty member in the Pathology Department at the Medical College of Wisconsin since July of 2005.
Dr. Lorek's areas of interest include breast pathology and medical education. She works closely with members of the Breast Care Clinic and participates in a weekly multi-disciplinary breast conference providing comprehensive care for these patients. Dr. Lorek is also the course director for the second year medical student pathology course with a strong interest in medical education.
