Welcome to the Medical College of Wisconsin’s Pathology Residency Program website. I hope you’ll find this site informative and helpful in learning more about the great things that MCW Pathology has to offer you as a future resident in pathology.
I was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada and headed to Missouri for college, where I graduated from Truman State University with a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Philosophy & Religion. I attended the Medical College here in Milwaukee, and then spent a year after graduation working on a soft tissue pathology research project examining the relationship between patient age at the time of soft tissue malignancy diagnosis and tumor pleomorphism.
I’m very excited to be a part of the AP/CP residency here at the Medical College of Wisconsin. From my experiences as a student, I was very impressed with the dedication to resident education here at the program, as well as the resources available to residents to encourage us to be the best pathologists we can be. The program’s strong interest in and support for translational research and its dedication to providing outstanding patient care were huge draws for me as well.
Milwaukee is a great place to live. In my opinion, we have just about anything you could want in a big city, but with the feel of a smaller town. In the summer there are festivals for pretty much any occasion, and there are tons of things for families to do here as well. My husband and I love taking our kids to the lake front and the children’s museum downtown, as well as to the great parks in the area.
Please feel free to email me with any questions you might have about Milwaukee or our program here, and best of luck to you!
