Alicia Witten joined the Medical College of Wisconsin in June 2004.   As Assistant Director for the Office of the Senior Associate Dean for Public and Community Health, she supports the Medical College of Wisconsin's growing commitment to public and community health by assisting in expanding existing community health efforts, fostering collaboration among existing centers focused on community and public health and facilitating the development of new community/academic partnerships, both urban and rural.

Prior to joining the Medical College, Ms. Witten served as Director of Member Services and Programming for The Donors Forum of Wisconsin, a membership association for private, corporate and community philanthropies. In this capacity, Ms. Witten worked with leading Wisconsin and national foundations to foster collaboration and identify new strategies to strengthening Wisconsin communities.

In addition, Ms. Witten has provided community support through volunteer activities to a number of local arts and community groups including the Aids Resource Center, Milwaukee Rescue Mission, and the Milwaukee Independent Film Society. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Lake Forest College in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy.
