Dr. Conley is both a board certified otolaryngologist-head and neck surgeon and a board certified pediatrician with fellowship training in pediatric otolaryngology. 

He is the only double board certified pediatric otolaryngologist in the state of Wisconsin, providing additional expertise in the care of infants, children, and adolescents in his full-time practice at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. 

In addition to teaching physicians-in-training and medical students, Dr. Conley is active in local and national professional societies. 

He is an expert in the care of children with cleft palate and associated speech disorders. He has extensive experience in airway diseases and surgery in infants and children. 

Along with providing expert medical and surgical care in pediatric otitis media, sinusitis, and voice problems, Dr. Conley has a special interest in pediatric swallowing disorders and congenital abnormalities of the head and neck including velocardiofacial (22q11.2 deletion) syndrome. He developed and is a member of a multidisciplinary team to treat swallowing disorders in children with cerebral palsy, brain injury, and developmental disorders. He is a consultant to the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin Cleft Palate Team and to the Difficult Feeding Team. 

His current areas of research are cleft palate speech disorders, swallowing abnormalities in developmentally disabled children, new techniques for airway reconstruction, nasal airway resistance, and evaluation/treatment of sleep-disordered breathing in children.
