This suburban practice represents an excellent opportunity for resident continuity clinic and student teaching. A new and rapidly growing clinic, Community Memorial Medical Commons houses not only primary care, but subspecialty clinics including OB and Endocrinology. Anchored with primary care including Med-Peds and Internal Medicine, serves a diverse patient population in the near-Northwest suburbs of Milwaukee. Community Memorial Medical Commons is staffed by the Internal Medicine-Pediatric Physicians, Drs. Barkimer, Durst and Bartel (2007 graduate).

Serving the community for the last 14 years at this site, the DHC is the primary site for ambulatory pediatric education at MCW. Staffed by a diverse blend of academic generalists, the DHC is known for its commitment to teaching and patient care in an underserved community. Each faculty practice has a unique and special character, and the residents have strong ties to patients and families. DHC is staffed by the Pediatric Physicians, Drs. Brixey, Busey, Ehrman, Frese, Gaebler, Meurer, Pomeranz, Sabnis, Schum, and Zetley.

IM East has trained Med-Peds residents since the program's inception. It is a hospital-based primary care clinic located within Froedtert. The faculty represents a diverse mix of careers, including academic clinicians, IT specialists, and hospital/college administrators. It also boasts an extraordinary concentration of award winning teachers. East Clinic is staffed by the Internal Medicine Physician, Dr. Pruitt.

Built in 1998, Plank is a multidisciplinary academic primary care site approximately 1 mile west of the MCW campus. Med-Peds, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Pediatrics are all represented at this site. Plank also houses an After Hours clinic, which provides both excellent patient care and a terrific training experience. Plank Road Clinic is staffed by Internal Medicine-Pediatric Physicians, Drs. Gerardin and Rossi, and Drs. Sobczak and Lodes (2001 Program Graduates), in addition to, Dr. Michael Farrell, Internal Medicine Physician.

Springdale Health Center opened in August, 2008 with an enthusiastic group of Med-Peds, Ob-Gyn, and Internal Medicine physicians providing best-practice primary care in a beautiful Milwaukee suburb. Med-Peds residents have continuity practices at this site, and students complete clinical ambulatory rotations here as well. Leadership at Springdale includes expertise in clinic management, medical education and medical informatics. Springdale Clinic is staffed by the Internal Medicine-Pediatric Physicians, Drs. Cada and Obermyer.
Westbrook Health Center

The Primary Care Clinic is just one clinic at the Westbrook Health Center. Imaging and laboratory services are also available in the building for convenience. In July 2010, gynecologic oncology services will also be offered. Patients in the clinics benefit from a common scheduling system and coordinated care. Westbrook Health Center is staffed by the Internal Medicine-Pediatrics physicians, Drs. Kalt and Zaide.
