Cystic Fibrosis Program

The Cystic Fibrosis Center is accredited for care, teaching and research by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.  The clinic offers multidisciplinary care for newborns, children, and adults.  The CF team includes specialists in pediatric and pulmonary medicine, nutrition, social work, genetics, nursing, and respiratory care.  Children and young adults receive their care at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.  Adults are hospitalized and seen in the CF Clinic at Froedtert Hospital.

Data from the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation over the apst 3-4 years show that our median FEV1 percent predicted is higher than the national median, suggesting that our patients have better lung function compared to the national median for all CF individuals. Similarly, data shows that our median BMI percentile is higher than the national median, suggesting that our patients have better nutrition and weight gain than compared to the national median.
