E. Brooke Lerner, PhD
Department of Emergency Medicine
E. Brooke Lerner received her PhD in epidemiology from the State University of New York at Buffalo. She is currently an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin and she serves as Research Director for the Department of Emergency Medicine. Dr. Lerner is a former EMS field provider who has dedicated her career to improving prehospital care. She has nearly 20 years of EMS related experience and has authored over 75 publications. Her primary research interest is in emergency medical services, specifically focusing on field triage of injured patients and mass casualty triage. She is a member of the Brain Trauma Foundation’s Medical Advisory Board, Vice Chair of the National Disaster Life Support Education Consortium Executive Committee, and Associate Editor of Prehospital Emergency Care.
