Robyn S. Shapiro, J.D. Ursula von Der Ruhr Professor and Director Center for the Study of Bioethics Department of Population Health 414-456-8498 rshapiro@mcw.edu Robyn Shapiro, a graduate of the University of Michigan and the Harvard Law School, is the Director of the Center for the Study of Bioethics at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Professor Shapiro has published over 50 articles and book chapters on bioethics and health law topics, and she has lectured on a wide variety of issues throughout the world. Professor Shapiro has served as an appointed member on a number of health policy advisory bodies, including the US Department of Health and Human Services Secretary's Advisory Committee on Xenotransplantation, the US Food and Drug Administration Drug Safety and Risk Management Advisory Committee, and the US Department of Health and Human Services National Institutes of Health Recombinant DNA Advisory Committee. Professor Shapiro's research interests include research ethics, clinical ethics, and ethics in health policy.
