2014 POSTDOC RETREAT

BTCI is a non-profit organization located in the BioPharmaceutical Technology Center in Madison, Wisconsin. A major purpose of the Institute is education in biotechnology and biopharmaceutical manufacturing. The institute has put together a program for our one-day retreat that is a mix of both career development, industry education and technology showcasing. The program will be of great interest to those wishing to gain more knowledge of the biopharmaceutical industry but also those interested in technology demonstrations of nucleic acid isolation and real-time monitoring of cells.

Transportation will be provided by the Postdoc Office.

Registration deadline is Friday, March 14. If you have any questions, please email Catie Bauer.


Aspects to be incorporated into the retreat:

  • Introduction to integrated, cutting-edge science and technology that is currently important in the biotechnology industry.
  • Reflection on careers in industry: specific focus on how to scaffold expertise and apply knowledge to problem solving in an industry setting.
  • Fun, engaging laboratory demonstrations and hands-on activities, lively discussion and refreshing experiences.
