The Medical College of Wisconsin Infectious Disease Clinic is a specialty care clinic. Patients commonly treated in this clinic have complicated short and long-term infections . In addition, this clinic provides comprehensive care for patients with HIV/AIDS. Care of the following conditions are generally not treated here: Lyme's Disease, hepatitis, chronic fatigue syndrome, pulmonary TB, and sexually transmitted diseases.
Clinical Medication Trials:
Clinical medication trials are offered to both established patients of the Infectious Disease Clinic, as well as referred clients in cooperation with their primary care physician. Clients are offered protocol-related medication care, lab results and study medications at no cost. Nutritional Counseling:
Good nutrition is a key component when treating the HIV/AIDS patient. A registered dietitian is available to all patients as part of the multi-disciplinary team. Patients are initially seen by physician referral and follow-up is done on an individual basis as needed.
