The Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) is a private, independent school for the health sciences, located in west suburban Milwaukee County on the 240 acre campus of the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center.
There are 800 full-time and part-time faculty, and over 1,700 volunteer faculty dedicated to nationally recognized innovative excellence in education, patient care, research and community responsibility.
MCW receives nearly $50 million in research and training funding annually, and it ranks in the top third of all U.S. medical schools for federal research funding.
The College awards the Doctor of Medicine degree, and the Doctor of Philosophy and Master of Science degrees in the basic sciences. Over 500 residency training positions in all medical subspecialty areas are offered through MCW Affiliated Hospitals, Inc.
