Carlyle H. Chan, M.D. is Professor and Vice Chair for Professional Development and Educational Outreach. He is a former Training Director and is the founder of the Door County Summer Institute. He is a past President of American Association of Directors of Psychiatric Residency Training (AADPRT), past Chair of the Organization of Program Director Associations (OPDA), and is the current President of the Wisconsin Psychiatric Association and the American Association for Technology in Psychiatry.
He is a recipient of the ACGME Parker J Palmer Courage to Teach Award, the Association for Academic Psychiatry's Distinguished Senior Fellow Award, and MCW's Society of Teaching Scholars. He has authored numerous articles, book chapters and books, including Computers in Clinical Psychiatry. He maintains an active clinical practice focusing on patients with depression, bipolar, and anxiety/panic disorders and was voted one of Milwaukee Magazine's Top Doctors.
