Dr. Larson attended the Chicago Medical School and also completed his residency training in psychiatry at the Chicago Medical School. Dr. Larson is boarded in general and geriatric psychiatry. Gunnar's academic interests include electronic educational methodology, clerkship rotation improvement and development, and developing an integrated curriculum at MCW. Dr. Larson is a recipient of the APA's Nancy Roeske Medical Student Teaching Award.
A few of Dr. Larson's accomplishments include co-developing the VA Medical Center Inpatient Teaching Service for M3 students, re-establishing and revitalizing the VA Medical Center Resident Teaching Service, and developing and expanding ANGEL (electronic based) M3 Psychiatry Clerkship educational resources.
Dr. Larson sees patients at the Milwaukee VA Medical Center – primarily geriatric, or patients with serious mental illnesses.
