Jeffrey Miller, DNP, MSN, RN CS, APNP, ACRN
Jeffrey Miller, DNP, MSN, RN CS, APNP, ACRN is an Assistant Professor and Clinical Director of Outpatient Care at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Miller has maintained a clinical practice in mental health and addiction nursing for over 25 years in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. In addition, Dr. Miller has had extensive experience in the provision of care to individuals infected with HIV, including counseling and testing; provision of direct care in an HIV Clinic; coordination of research for the Center for AIDS Intervention Research (CAIR); and community education and training. Dr. Miller also has extensive administrative experience, most recently as the Director of Inpatient Mental Health and Addiction for the Wheaton Franciscan System. In addition, Dr. Miller is an Adjunct Professor in the Nursing Department at Marquette University focusing on substance abuse and has numerous publications in the areas of HIV, mental health, and in nursing.
Dr. Miller was appointed to the Wisconsin State Board of Nursing in September 2012 and currently is the Chair for the Board of Nursing and is the Chairperson of the Legislation and Rules Committee. During his tenure on the Board, he will maintain a focus on the Nurse Practice Act and the Consensus Model for Advanced Practice Nurses.
