Dr. Patterson received her PhD in Clinical Psychology at the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee in 1993 and a post-doctoral fellowship in Neuropsychology at the Medical College of Wisconsin in 1996. She is board certified in Clinical Neuropsychology through the American Board of Professional Psychology.
Dr. Patterson is a member of the International Neuropsychological Society, the Midwest Neuropsychology Group, the Milwaukee Area Psychological Association, and the Alzheimer Association Southeast Wisconsin Scientific Advisory Board. She has received the Outstanding Performance Award With Compensation from the VA Hospital in 2002, 2005, 2007-2015, and she received a teaching award from MCW in 2009.
