Patty Guedet, M.D.
Patty Guedet, M.D. is Assistant Professor and Associate Residency Director in the Department of Psychiatry
and Behavioral Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin. She is the Director of the Psychiatry Consultation
Liaison Service and is Psychiatry Residency Training Coordinator at the Milwaukee VAMC.
Dr Guedet attended the University of Iowa for undergraduate training and the University of Iowa Medical School
for medical training. She completed her residency training in psychiatry at Washington University and
Barnes Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri. She also completed a fellowship in Consultation/Liaison Psychiatry
at the University of Minnesota Hospital and Clinics, Minneapolis, MN.
Dr. Guedet is boarded in general and psychosomatic psychiatry. Dr Guedet's academic interests include psychosomatics, teaching, and evidence based psychiatry.
Patty is a three time recipient of the department's "Jon Gudeman Golden Apple Teaching Award".
Dr. Guedet is the Director of the residency's Evidence Based Medicine Course and Journal Club, and supervises in the residents' Geriatric Psychiatry Clinic.
