What is Mental Health Services?

Mental health assistance is for MCW employees, medical students, and residents. The Medical College of Wisconsin recognizes that its employees face several stressors while working hard, raising a family, shuffling schedules, making difficult decisions, etc. Because we are aware of these demands and because we value our employees, we have devised a program to serve you and your families, should the need arise.

Mental Health Services provides a comprehensive program designed to meet the professional and personal needs of you and your family. We offer counseling and therapy for personal issues. These issues may include but are not limited to anxiety, depression, substance abuse, marital concerns, sexual dysfunction, as well as child, adolescent, and family problems.

Call Mental Health Services at 456-8933 Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.

If you are calling after hours or on the weekend, please leave a message. We will return your call the next working day.

In case of an after-hours emergency, please call 805-6700 and ask for the Department of Psychiatry clinician on call. This clinician  will be contacted by the paging operator and will get back to you as soon as possible.
