Foundations of Human Behavior explores the intersection of mind and body, using the Biopsychosocial Model, and covering the Human Condition from birth until death. The focus is on Normal development with a rich array of life examples to portray the developing human. Erik Erikson’s 8 Stages of Development establishes the core psychosocial model and will be the structure for which the student will create a journal, or diary of a senior citizen’s life. The course begins with a didactic series which is then complimented by Case-Based Presentations, interviews with volunteers representing all stages of development including end of life.
