Community Advisory Boards envisioned
To assist with governance aspects of the local community medical education programs, Community Advisory Boards will be established for both the Central Wisconsin and Green Bay programs. The respective boards are expected to comprise local volunteers appointed to represent health care and educational affiliates of the program as well as members of the broader community, including physicians and leaders from business, education institutions, and government entities /civic organizations.
The Community Advisory Boards are designed to assist program leaders with the development of community relationships and infrastructure, student recruitment and retention, monitoring the achievement of program goals, and the enhancement of program visibility and support.
The Boards’ scope is currently under development with respect to role and responsibilities, membership, selection process and time commitment.
