6th annual Global Health Fair planned for Feb 27
Feb. 21, 2014 College News - On Thursday, Feb. 27, , the Medical College of Wisconsin medical students' Global Health Organization and Academic Affairs' Global Health Pathway will co-host the 6th annual Global Health Fair. The theme of this year's fair, which runs from 12:30-4:15 p.m., is Medicine in Conflict Zones (PDF).
The MCW Class of 1984 Global Health Fund has provided support for this event, which features a keynote address by Thomas Edell, MD, entitled, The NGO Perspective. It will also include a panel discussion on the Military Perspective. Panel participants include Thomas Carver, MD, Fel ’13; Robert, Fish, MD; David Gourlay, MD ’97, Fel ’06; Michael McBride, MD ’92, Fel ’97, MS; and Lewis Somberg, MD. The session will end with a viewing of the documentary, Access to the Danger Zone, produced by Medecins Sans Frontieres.
