Attend Doctor Day 2014 to help protect worker’s compensation rates in Wisconsin
Jan. 23, 2014 College News - On Feb. 12, the Medical College of Wisconsin is sponsoring Doctor Day 2014: Advocacy at the Capitol. This unique event will allow MCW students and faculty to travel to Madison to meet their legislators and help advance legislative issues of importance to the clinical practice and the MCW community.
Of particular importance, the College needs your help protecting worker’s compensation rates in Wisconsin. Health care provider fee levels are under significant attack, and could be capped at 110% of the average cost of health care services in the region. If enacted into law, this proposal would have devastating effects on both patients receiving worker’s compensation benefits and providers.
If you have any questions about this event, please feel free to call MCW’s Office of Government and Community Relations, 955-8217. You can also email Kathy Kuhn, Vice President of Government and Community Relations, email@example.com, or Nathan Berken, Director of Government Relations, firstname.lastname@example.org.
Additional information is also available on the Doctor Day 2014: Advocacy at the Capitol flyer (PDF). There is no cost to attend.
