Sept. 12, 2012 College News - The Community Engagement Key Function of the Clinical and Translational Science Institute will host a one-day workshop on Tuesday, Oct. 2, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the UWM School of Continuing Education. The purpose of this workshop is to establish a preliminary dialogue between Community Engagement in Research (CEnR) and Comparative Effectiveness Research (CER) scientists.
The workshop will assist in clarifying the philosophical and methodological differences and common ground between these two disciplines. By articulating these, CEnR and CER practitioners can begin to identify potential opportunities for integrating approaches.
Tom Concannon, PhD, of the Institute for Clinical Research and Health Policy Studies at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, will deliver the keynote address.
Additional information on the event and the speaker is available on the CTSI Website.
