Cedarburg Wearable Art Show to benefit MCW breast cancer research
April 02, 2013 College News - The 16th Wearable Art Show, organized by the Cedarburg Junior Woman's Club, will be held April 12 and 13 at the Cedarburg Cultural Center, W62 N546 Washington Avenue, Cedarburg. All of the events are open to the public. Proceeds benefit breast cancer education, prevention, research and treatment. To date, this organization has donated nearly $14,000 for breast cancer research at the Medical College of Wisconsin Cancer Center.
The activities begin on Friday, April 12, with the Pink Tie Affair. From 7-9 p.m., guests will be able to enjoy appetizers, desserts and music while shopping among the more than 35 vendors selling unique clothing, jewelry and accessories. Pink attire is encouraged. Admission is $10 if purchased in advance at http://www.cedarburgjuniors.org/ Admission at the door that evening is $12.
The Bosom Buddy Walk/Run will take place at 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 13. Participants can choose to run a 5K officially-timed course or walk a one- two- or three-mile course. Advanced registration is $25 for adults or $15 for children. It is available by going to http://www.cedarburgjuniors.org/. Registration the day of the event is $30.
The Wearable Art Show will take place on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Clothing, jewelry and accessories will be available for purchase. The admission, which can be purchased at the door, is $5. For more information, visit http://www.cedarburgjuniors.org/.
