Complex abdominal hernia symposium planned for May 3
April 19, 2013 College News - The Medical College of Wisconsin Department of Surgery is hosting the Complex Abdominal Hernia Symposium on Friday, May 3, in the Froedtert & The Medical College of Wisconsin Clinical Cancer Center, Conference Room K. The event targets general surgeons, plastic surgeons and allied health professionals involved in the care of patients who require abdominal wall reconstruction.
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
Identify complex hernias that are not amenable to standard repair techniques
Outline a plan for removal of the source of infection
Devise a multidisciplinary approach to reconstructing the abdominal wall.
