Doctor’s Dash on Aug. 4 to benefit MCW juvenile rheumatoid arthritis research

Aug. 01, 2012 College News - The 3rd annual Doctor's Dash will be held Saturday, Aug. 4, through the city of St. Francis. The five-mile run and two-mile fun run/walk begin at 9 a.m., and all proceeds generated from the event will support MCW juvenile rheumatoid arthritis research through the Madison Wied Pediatric Research Fund at the Medical College. 

Nicholas Wied established the Madison Wied Pediatric Research Fund at the Medical College of Wisconsin to support the research efforts in Department of Pediatrics’ Rheumatology Division.  Nicholas’s daughter, Madison, is in remission from Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis, which she has suffered from since age 3.  She is treated by Medical College of Wisconsin doctors from the Department of Pediatrics’ Rheumatology Division.
