Sept. 10, 2012 College News - Carlyle H. Chan, MD, Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine and the Institute for Health and Society (Bioethics and Humanities), has been invited to serve as one of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education’s (ACCME) representatives to the Coalition for Physician Accountability. The coalition seeks to advance the quality of healthcare and professional accountability.
Other representative members include the Association of American Medical Colleges, the American Board of Medical Specialties, the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education, the National Board of Medical Examiners, the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates, the Federation of State Medical Boards, the American Osteopathic Association, and the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners.
